I have a digital photo of Rebbetzin Chana Ruchel Zilbershtein’s matzeva . If I can read the date correctly she died in Winnipeg on the 12th of Tamuz, 5688 (June 30, 1928). Anyone wanting a photo of the matzeva can contact me at uy9p1@yahoo.com.

His (second) wife Rebbetzin Reva Zilberstien passed away this past March at the age of 99, she was originally from Kovel, Poland and married to Rabbi Zilberstien in Winnipeg before they moved to LA.

I grew up in Boyle Heights and attended his
Temple, and the Talmud Torah. His sermons were all in Yiddish, and I could not understand them, since we were Orthodox but from Germany.
Females could not study Rashi and Gemorrah, though I wanted to.

The famous genius Rabbi, the oldest Rabbi and president of the Rabbis,
Rabbi Asher Zilberstein, ABD”K (=Av Beit Din of Kehilat) Los Angeles, son of the genius Rabbi R’ Israel Aaron Z”L (= Zichrono Levracha= may his memory be blessed), ABD”K Mezeritch.

Line No 1 (Hebrew letter Alef): There are two parts, which practically mean the same – Our light came down
Line No 2 (Hebrew letter Shin): The light of cleverness came down, great activities ended
Line No 3 (Hebrew letter Reish): With his ways and activities he brought a lot of people to avoid from iniquities
Line No 4 (Hebrew letter Zain): Gained and caused others to gain. With cleverness he trained his pupils
Line No 5 (Hebrew letter Yod): He established Yeshivas, run them and nourished them with bravery
Line No 6 (Hebrew letter Lamed): He studied and taught. He acted with loyalty and honesty.
Line No 7 (Hebrew letter Bet): His home – a place for the clever people, a shelter for those who failed
Line No 8 (Hebrew letter Reish): He was the first among great people who did for the public
Line No 9 (Hebrew letter Shin): Improvement of the Holy Land was his main goal
Line No 10 (Hebrew letter Tet): His taking care of its being built and getting strong
Line No 11 (Hebrew letter Yod): He acted in any good thing for the Torah
Line No 12 (Hebrew letter Yod): His activities for the Torah and its honour will be remembered forever
Line No 13 (Hebrew letter Nun): His name will be remembered and mentioned in public

He served as a Rabbi approximately 48 years (The letters are not very readable here, I hope it is indeed 48 years)

He was a descendant of the MAHARSHA, the Zadik Rabbi R’ Aaron the Great from Karlin ZZ”L (Zecher Zadik Levracha= may the memory of the Zadik will be blessed) and the tenth generation in a dynasty of great Rabbis.

He passed away on 14 Shvat 5733 (Hebrew date)

Do you mean the Shaar Tzeddek Cemetery in Winnipeg, Canada? Rebbe Shmuel Avraham Aba Twersky, the Makarov (Winnipeg) Rebbe is buried in that cemetery.

His wife was Rebbetzin Chana Ruchel a doughter of Reb Avrum Yehoshua Heshel of Radamishel (son of Reb Gedalia M’Malin ben Reb yisroel SIL of Reb Aharon of Chernobyl) she past away in the age of 37 ?? ???? ???”? in Vinipeg in the Shharei Tzion cemetery.
