Rabbi Levine was a Litvak who was the Rabbi of Shaarei Tzedek Synagogue. He was Orthodox and he was the cheif Rabbi of Minneapolis. The beautiful synagogue was on Morgan or Newton Avenue. Lots of steps , but smaller than Mikro Kodesh on Oliver Avenue. When the neighborhood shifted, Shaarei Tzedek joined with another shul, I think it was Gemelus Chesed.

Just a note about the United Hebrew Brotherhood Cemetery that I found online. The Gemelus Chesed Cemetery and B'nai Emet Cemetery are separate facilities located next to the Minneapolis Jewish Cemetery, at 70 1/2 Street West and Penn Avenue South. For information about Gemelus Chesed Cemetery, call cemetery manager Beryl Richman at (952) 544-8752, or Sharei Chesed synagogue at (952) 929-2595. For information about B'nai Emet Cemetery, call the synagogue at (952) 927-7309.
