I was very close to him in my childhood and to our great sorrow he was niftar when I was only a child. This is the first time I see a picture of his matzeiva and I am stunned. In his great holiness he was a very modest person and you see it on his matzeiva which is so plain. May I add that not long ago his daughter Miriam told me that my Mother A"H was her mother's the illustrious Rebbitzen Babche Tlit"a best friend. That is how close we were. His mother the Alte Rebbitzen bought me a sterling silver chanuka menorah for my bar mitzvah. I remember him very well .
