This discussion (x is credited vs. y is credited) is beyond narishkeit. There are many rebbeim and non-rebbeim who can be credited with building Torah Judaism in the US both before and after WWII.

Rabbi Shraga Feivel Mendelwitz is credited for building yidishkeit in America prior to ww2. The Boyaner Rebbe among other chasidic rebbes were m’karev these American youths and gave them a Ruach chasidus. Later on when the Satmar Rebbe arrived he finished off what they had started.

I am descended from Moses Wolf (Farkas)Teitelbaum of Kopocs Apati (near the city of Kisvarda) he was a mezaros (butcher), in Kisvarda but lived in KA. He had three sons my great grandfather Maier, Herman and Bernat. Is anyone aware of the existence of such a family. they were not Hasidic but they were very religious. Herman and Bernat left KA and went to Nyirbator where they were empoloyed by Naftali Teitelbaum at the Synagouge.

Reply to Chaim Yitzchok, this is the first time I am told that Klausenburger Rebbe is credited with rebuilding Chasidic Jewry in the United States.
Till now I only heard/read that Satmerer Rebbe built Chasidic Jewry in the United States with great unbeleaveable stories to go along. I would be very interested to hear similar of the Klausenburger Rebbe.

My grandfather, my mother’s father, R’ Chaim Shmiel Deutsch hyd, was the Satmar Rebbe’s first hois bucher in Orsheve during WW1. I met the Satmar Rebbe in 1960 as a 13 yr old boy and he was thrilled that my grandfather had living offspring. He gave me a bruche that I should be a voil chasidishe bucher.

Do a search on hebrewbooks.org. Most of the times the loshon מי יפרק הויות ומי – יתרץ שברים is used.

There is a mistake on the Rebbe’s Kever.

On the fourth line of text it states;
מי יתרץ הויות ומי – יפרק שברים
What was meant to be stated is
מי יפרק הויות ומי – יתרץ שברים
Why would someone separate what is broken?

Now it is too late to do anything.

Has someone noticed this before?
