Yaakov Geller was my great great grandfather. He came from Galitzia in 1888. His son, Max, was the first Texas-born musmach.

I am a historian at Rice University working on an archive of Houston Jewish history. Looking for more information and records related to Rabbi Max Geller/Beth Jacob and would like to be connected to Julie Geller. Thank you!

I don’t know what information you might be interested in regarding Rabbi Max Geller but I just found my parents’ marriage certificate, my brother’s record of circumcision and my Hebrew birth certificate, all of which are signed by Rabbi Geller. These documents are of particular interest to me because they show information that raises many questions for me and I do not know where to start looking for answers.
Please contact me of my documents are of interest to you or if you are willing to tell me how I might proceed in learning more about a mystery regarding my parents.
Thank you,
Dianne McGuire
