he was not the rebbe, his father was rebbe.
    r’ david ben r’ behr ben r’ moshe m’koriv ben r’ shulem m’belz.
the father is burried in “welwood”.

correct. This was Ben Rokeach, a brother of R’ Moshe Rokeach (of 57th Street in Boro Park who died in either 1997 or 1998). Their father, R’ David, died in 1956. From what I understand, Ben died as a result of an accident on a ferry. Ben had two sons, Allen and Sholim, who played basketball for Yeshiva University. Unfortunately, Sholim (known as Shelly) died a few years ago.

I have a letter by “הק’ דוד רוקח בן הרב ר’ ישכר דוב מלובוטשויב”. Does anyone have any info on this gentleman?

My cousin Dov Rokeach is a grandson of Reb Dovid whop assed on Lag Bomer, 1956. I can put you in touch with him if you would like. The Reb Yissocher Dov was a first cousin of Horav Yissocher Dov, the third Belzer Rebbe.

    David
