He was also Rav in Melborne Australia before he went to Montreal, In Montreal although he was always called as the kleiner Pupa Ruv he was actually the Rav of the Belzer Chasidim in Canada. He was an extremely clever person and loved by everyone who came in contact with him.

“kleiner” was a nickname used only by few, due to his being about 3-4 ft high.
He is buried next to the ohel of his Rebbe, the V’Ychi Yosef of Pupa

The father of him, Rabbi Yosef ben Benzion Neuman was a Talmid of R’ Yeshaya Silberstein in Vac/Weitzen, and the Shevet Sofer in Pressburg. Rabbi Yosef served as Rav in Transylvania (Sepsiszentgyorgy, Deva, Brasso), and then in Obuda district of Budapest. He passed in 1964 in Papa, Hungary.
Rabbi Yakov Yitzchok really served as Rav in Papa, abt. 1948.
His father-in-law R’ Yakov Yechezkia Grunwald of Huszt, was son of R’ Amram Grunwald of Csorna, grandson of the Szerednye Rav R’ Yakov Yechezkia, and the (probably) youngest brother of the Arugas Habosem of Huszt, the Keren LeDovid of Satmar, and R’ Nachum of Csorna.

@eretzhagar
The Rav was the youngest (second marriage) son in law of R’ Yakov Yechezkia (also from second marriage) who lived in Chuzt, who was son of R’ Amram Grunwald of Csorna [brother of Szerednye Rav], grandson of R’ Yosef Grunwald, Tshetsowitz Rav.
The Rav was (first marriage) son in law of R’ Shia Grunwald, Son of R’ Yida Grunwald – Son-in-law of R’ Nuchem Grunwald, both were children of above mentioned R’ Amram Grunwald. He had one child Nuchem who perished in the Holocaust.

Unfortunately I did not know him, but saw him once in Montreal and he had the face of an angel, the countenance of a malach
