Why was he called Yerushalaime Rebbe, was he from the Yerushalaime Auerbach family?
(thanks Baruch for linking this to the rebbe’s FIL Rebbe Gottesman)

He was from Jerusalem, his grandfather was the Imrei Binah.
I wonder how he ended up on the Lower East Side????

I believe he had a son in Netanya, who passed away not so long ago.

Reb Yid,
If he was the SIL of a New York Rebbe that’s how he ended up in NY.
It’s interesting why there is no writing on the Matzive about his Admoros, besides the fact that the Jeruslem Auerbachs were not Chasidishe Rebbes at all.

The Rebbe first lived in East New York and then moved his shule to Crown Heights, where did you get that he lived on the Lower East Side?

Miller:
I spoke to a grandson-in-law, it appears that it was in accordance with the Rebbe?s wishes.
Thank you,
