Krshanover (Chrzanow) Rebbe of New York
d. 11 Tamuz, 1986
The Rebbe was a great grandson of Rebbe Dovid of Krshanov (d.1894) the second son of the Divrei Chaim of Sanzs.

I recently heard a vort which I would like to share with the chevra. One of Rebbe Duvidel Krshanover’s children had just returned to Sanz and was repeating some of the torah that he heard from his father-in-law. The holy Sanzer noticed the commotion and asked what was going on? After being told that his grandson was repeating torah from his father-in-law, the holy Sanzer said TORAH, I will tell you a torah.
The verse in the beginning of Parshas Tzav says “Aish, tamid, tukad al haMizbayach lo sichbeh“.
Aish – a fire
Tamid – always
Tukad – should burn
Al haMizbayach – on your heart
Lo sichbeh- (should not be extinguished) even after doing the biggest avayrah (sin)
and with that the Rebbe went back into his room.
The Rebbe’s message is amazing, even if someone is sitting in the blutta (mud) just get up and move on, don’t look back.

BTW, it shold be Kshanov not Krshanov.
How this Rebbe a grandson, who many generations? Where was his Beis Medrash?

ר’ דוד הלברשטאם מקשאנוב-י”א תמוז תשמ”ו
נולד בשנת תרנ”ז בעיר לינסק לאביו ר’ ברוך מקשאנוב בן ר’ משה מקשאנוב בן ר’ דוד מקשאנוב בן מרן הדברי חיים זי”ע.
ולאמו בת ר’ אברהם חיים השני מלינסק בן ר’ מנחם מנדל מלינסק בן ר’ אברהם חיים מלינסק בן הרה”ק מראפשיץ.
כבר בהיותו ילד קנה שם טוב בעיר מולדתו, זקינו ר’ א”ח מלינסק כשהי’ בוחן אותו הי’ אומר “פארמאכטס די גמרא” כי ידע הכל בעל פה.
בן שמונה שנים נבחן אצל דודו ר’ שלום שפירא מפשיטיק ונתפעל הרבה מבקיאותו הגדולה והבנתו העמוקה.
הסתופף בצל הצבי לצדיק מבלאזוב.
בשנת תרע”ז נתייתם מאביו ר’ ברוך ונכנס אמו עם פתקא למהרא”ש מסטראפקוב וכאשר קרא הצדיק שמו בפתקא אמר
“דוד’ל זאל פארן קיין אמעריקא און זיין א רבי”.
בשנת תרפ”א נשא את בת הגאון ר’ חיים יצחק ירוחם אב”ד אלטשטאט.
אחר חתונתו התיישב בוויען מקום מגורי חותנו אז.
בפרוץ מלחמת העולם השני’ עזב עיר מגוריו עם כל משפחתו, אז עמד גיסו ר’ חיים יהושע הלברשטאם הי”ד בעל אחותו
והשליך נפשו מנגד כדי להצילו ולהביאו למדינת אמעריקא.
לאחר טלטולים בא לארה”ב בכסליו תש”ב.
התיישב בוומ”ס והקים ביהמ”ד “צאנזער קלויז”.
נסתלק י”א תמוז ונטמן בביה”ח בקרית יואל. זצ”ל
בניו: ר’ שרגא זאב מקשאנוב-ר’ ברוך נתן מקשאנוב-ולהבחל”ח ר’ משה אדמו”ר מקיוויאשד שליט”א.
חתנו: ר’ אלטר יחזקאל הורוויץ דומ”ץ וויען ב”פ.
