Author of Delights of Ephraim. Cemetery is on Elysian Fields Ave, New Orleans. He is the brother of my great grandmother, Eva Conterman Weinstein. I believe the family came from Odessa to New York. He had at least one son, Harry Conterman.
My grandfather, Reverend Chayim Efrayim Conterman, was born in the city of Toltshin in the Ukraine. He came to New Orleans at approximately the age of 17. While there he published two books, as already indicated called Delights of Efrayim, Shaashuay Efrayim, the first in 1916, the second in 1949 or 1950. I republished those books in 2013 with my own notes. The second photo in your array is of his father-in-law,Meyer Teles, my great grandfather. Your other comment from Nancy, his great niece, her father was probably first cousin to my Mother, Gittel Lahasky. She can find my phone number in my republished book on Hebrew books.com.
Nancy, your great grandmother was my great aunt. I lost track of the Weinstein branch of the family. Please contact me – see my previous comment.
