His father Reb Yisroel Yizchok was a Rabbi and Dayan in Warsaw where he passed away in 1916 and is buried there.

Do you have a photo of Reb Tzemach and/or of his grave?
Rav Amiel
your great grandfather Rav Zamborovsky was a grodzshisker chusid quite a while ago there was printed a copy of a letter that the last Grodzhisker Rebbe Rav Yisroel Shapiro(who was killed in the war) wrote to Rav Zambrovsky while he was rov in syrcuse the gabbai of the rebbe also writes to rav zaborvski that he should raise some funds for some cause by a grodzishker chusid who lives in syrcuse
also the first sefer of rav zambrovski has a haskomo from the grodziskher rebbe
i think that his son rav elimelech who was niftar in his fathers lifetime was named after Rav Elimelech Grodziskeher
the intresting thing is that his second sefer which was printed in the USA has no haskoma from any chasdic rebbe or rov not even from the grodzsiker who was still alive
i still want to go through his first sefer to see if he brings any divrey torah from the grodzishker rebbes
Rabbi Yehoshua Zambrowsky was the brother of my great grandfather Yisrael Yitzchak Zambrowsky, who wrote the Geres Carmel. would love to find more copies of this sefer to give to my children. also any info about my great grandfather, and his son, my zeide Binyomin Zambrowsky (changed to Levy when he arrived in the US)
Rena,
Yisroel Yitzchok was the “Father” of Rabbi Yehoshua, not a “Brother”.
Reb Yisroel Yitzchak was a Dayan (Rabbinical Judge) in Warsaw where he passed away in 1926, see here a photo of his Grave in Warsaw and the grave of another son of his Nathan Nuta Zambrowsky.

To the family of Rabbi Yehoshua Zambrowsky — we have started a group for people with a connection to the 15th Ward in Syracuse, New York, the neighborhood where the Hebrew Free School was located. Several students of the school are on the group. There are several members who may have known your family. Email me to join.
I am privileged to have an original copy of my great grandfathers Rav Yehoshua Zambrowsky’s commentary on tehillim called Ateret Yehoshua released in 1907. New copies are available on amazon but this is mamash a family treasure!
Amiel

What is the second sefer that Rabbi Yehoshua Zambrowsky wrote and had printed in the USA?
Mr Bender
i will get back to you with the name.
Apparently, my great grandfather Rav Yehoshua Halevi Zambrowsky wtore another sefer besides Chemdat Yehoshua and Ateret Yehoshua… Does anyone know what that sefer is?
What was the name of the Sefer written in the USA without the haskamos
Apparently the first sefer that Harav Yehoshua Halevi wrote was called “Gevulei Yehoshua”.
I have tried to find it on Hebrewbooks.org with no success. Does anyone know about this sefer?
Amiel which sefer has the haskomes of the leading eastern European rabbis
mr bender in the sefer chedas yeshoua he has no haskomos from eastern European rabbis only from American and rav kuk
he was a grodzhisker chusid no haskoma from the rebbe who was still alive in Warsaw Poland
it is interesting
by the way look at the title he gives in his sefer Ateret Yehoshua to his rebbe the grodzisker the question in my previous post becomes bigger
By the way Who was Dr Basha Dombrovski a daughter of Rav Shia a brother of R Elimelch
