Rav Moshe Weitman, who had started a day school in Montreal, served as Rav of Monticello, NY and then moved to Far Rockaway where he was the founding Dean of Torah Academy for Girls.

He was the son of Rabbi Mendel Weitman מחשובי זקני חסידי באיאן, who was one of the founders of the Boyaner kloiz in Williamsburg.
