טורמאן, הרב פנחס רב ודרשן בטרענטאן , יליד איוועניץ (פ . מינסק), למד בישיבות שונות ואחרי נשאו לו אשה הסתופף בצלה של תורה בווילנא ויעש לו שם בדרשותיו אשר נשא בבתי הכנסת השונים, תרס״ד בא לאמריקא ויתקבל לרב בטרענטאן (ניו דזשורסי) .
