   I would like to know which synagogue in Indianapolis, Indiana he was Rabbi at and the time period. His name is on my grandfather and grandmother’s marriage application.

   Rabbi Solomon Levin served as rabbi of sharah Tefilla and Knesses Israel of Indianapolis in 1913.

   This rabbi levin is not the rabbi levin that was a rabbi in Indiana.

   Isn’t he author of Hadar Hacarmel, 2 volumes?
   He was Rov in Rochester around the turn of the century. Rav Yudelevitz held him in great esteem.

   Shalom you are correct. The rabbi levin that wrote Hadar hacarmel passed away in 1932. The rabbi levin that lived in Indianapolis and Minneapolis authored minchas shlomo passed away in 1986.

    The year of the Kletzker Yeshiva photo is 1927, not 1937. Rabbi Shlomo Levine passed away in 1932, which would make it difficult for him to be in a photo from 1937.
