CORRECTION:
Over the last number of years, this picture has been mistakenly identified as Rav Meir Shlomo Yanovsky, Chief Rabbi, Mykolaiv, Ukraine (d. 1933), father of Rebbetzin Chana Schneerson (d.1964), mother of the Lubavitcher Rebbe zt”l.

Bio Information: 
Rav Yanosky served in Piotrków Trybunalski, Poland prior to his arrival on these shores where he rabbinated on the Lower East Side. He eventually immigrated to Palestine (Israel) where he headed a congregation in Tel Aviv. Among his publications is Gan baShamayaim a commentary on Shir HaShirim.
