Harav just means a Talmid chochom, doesn’t mean he had a shteller. That’s what I think, maybe I’m mistaken.
He was a rav. Some people have semichah, but they don’t have a shteller as the rav of a shul. He taught in a Talmud Torah for Ados Israel of Hartford.
