Rabbi Isidore Davidson was my grandfather. Your extensive background on him and his father Rabbi Philip Davidson is correct but I’d like more information and/or source material on the following —
“Dr. Davidson wrote “Halacha Sources in the Targumim,” and is at the present time engaged in editing the writings of his father- consisting of “Shaaloth Utshuvoth “(Responsa), and Rabbinical and homiletical notes on the Bible and Talmud and Codes (to appear shortly) ; also a volume of sermons and occasional addresses. “
I read your notes with great interest. I am the granddaughter of Rabbi Philip Davidson, who was the father of my father Jesse Davidson, and my
uncle Milton Davidson. Recently I’ve begun to research my “roots” and would be grateful if you’d like to share your findings on the Davidson family.I live in Westbury, NY; my phone is 516-829-8946.
I am the great-great grand daughter of Rabbi Philip Davidson. His son, Louis Davidson was my grandfather’s father. Robert Davidson is my grandfather who is married to Judith Davidson.
