Doesn’t seem like a Rabbi to me.
My great grandfather was a Rabbi Oberstein and lived in Brooklyn. My Aunt Celia came from Poland beforfe WW I and met him. My father came in 1924 and never met him. This man died in 1917, so he could be my father’s grandfather. However, the obituary does not mention my grandfather, Elchonon, for whom I am named or any other family in :Russia”. My father came from the city of Tiktin in North East Poland.
