   I would say that the name is either פאטיקער
   or אפטייקער

   There was defineteley a surname in Prague spelled אפוטיקר so I am still not positive that this isnot from thst family.

   I found a 1930 US census for this Rav. His wife was named Etherl and he lived at 190 Broom Street. They were both bron in Poland and he came to the US in 1914. Ethel in 1920.

   He died December 4, 1942 at 68 years.

   His Manhattan death certificate number is 24217.

    The Rabbi Arie Apotheker is my fathers grandfather my dad Aaron Noah Apotheker moved to Israel as a young guy today he is 93 and 4 of my grandchildren live in Ariel Israel My dads father name was mendel The family immigtated from Boybrika a small town of about 3 k next to Levov or Lemberg
