As far as I know this is the first video footage of The Rav speaking (of such length) that has ever been released to the public!
Correction – based upon the content, this seems to be from the כינוס תשובה that Rav Soloveitchik delvered in 1979. Arnold Lustiger rendered many of those שיעורים into English in “Before Hashem You Shall Be Purified” (1998) and this recording seems to line up with the section that appears there starting on p. 141.

The topic of this drasha is עבודת יוה”כ and the aforementioned Lustiger book lists the 1979 topic as exactly that while the 1975 drasha was focused on ר”ה ותקיעת שופר.
(Also this recording seems to be from a VHS tape and portable VCR recorders only started becoming available in 1978 and 1979. Additionally, the presence of OU president R. Julius Berman is acknowledged (at the 5 minute mark) and he didn’t become president until 1978)
