Where does the information come from that this beloved fellow was a Rav in NYC?
He’s buried right behind Rav Shuchatowitz z”l
It says “Harav”, no?
The Englisk title “Rabbi Abraham J Shulman” is more indicative that he was indeed a Rabbi then the Hebrew “Harav” which is used commonly even in informal ocasions.
Of course he was sort of Rav – it says RABBI. I believe the question is wether he served in NYC or other state.
