He was born in Kroli, Hungary to Reb Yehoshua Zelig Hacohen Klein, and Breindel.
Married to the daughter of R’ Yisroel Kupperstein of Dorog, Hungary.
For a time he served as Rav in Winnipeg, Canada and in NYC where he served various Hungarian communities, including B’nai Aharon, ahavas Achim, Ohavie Emes and B’nai Yehuda, he even had a Yeshivah called Damesek Eliezer.
From one of his Hakdumes it appears that he was a Belzer Chusid, he also authored Gedilas Mordechai a biography on the Rebbe Reb Mordeche’le of Nadvorne.
