1st line says “Rofeh Cholim” – does that mean was he Dr.?
Could be looks like he was a one stop shop or perhaps it means spiritually.
Alot of Mohelim have medical knowledge. Specifically with skin disorders. I know a Mohel who diagnoses cellulitis (roiz) 2 – 3 days before a doctor.
He was rabbi of Congregation Kasher Ahavo in Denver, Colorado. He was a model and although not an MD was known as a healer and often people were brought to him for healing. I was often told how he put people with fevers into tubs full of ice, a practice not well known at the time.
