At the end he was Rav in Mt. Vernon NY, his son Rabbi Morris Halpern was Rav in Montreal, there is a recorded interview of his son Morris about his father in the University of Washington State, see;

Heโs buried in Hastings on Hudson (353 Saw Mill River Road, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706) in the Cong Brothers of Israel, Mount Vernon society.
in 1913 he was still in Portland and he is mentioned between the people of Portland who sent maamudos to Reb Motele Rachmistrivker.
