I was wondering if anyone had information on Rav Matisyahu’s half brother, Mordechai. Mordechai was my great-great-great-grandfather, and I haven’t been able to find much about him in sefarim. I know he was born in Malat, Vilna, Lithuania in 1842 to Rav Shimshon and Breina Gordon.
Thanks.
It seems that Rabbi Gordon was not a Rov in St. Louis. The words St. Louis on the Shaar Blatt refer to where the sefer was printed.
Would be interested in hearing what he was doing in Chicago 1941-1944
