Rav Meyer Hersch Suchman wrote a sefer called Chidushei Torah. in it on p 88-92 he records the story of Shlomoh Hamelech and the ring with gam zeh yaavor inscribed on it. This is one of very few Jewish sources for the story, which is widely known to the non-Jewish nations as well. Abraham Lincoln mentioned the story in a speech given in 1859.
