Same Rabbi Levertov ? Looks like it
Yes, same.
Rabbi Levertov, z”l, is mentioned in the holocaust book “And the sun kept shining” by Berthe Ferderber-Salz. He was very helpful and compassionate to the Jews who came back to Krakow after the war.
He was the rabbi who officiated the wedding of my grandparents in Krakow shortly after the war, Pinek and Kina Wolf.
Listening further to my grandfather, Pinek Wolf’s interview, he says that he established Rabbi Levertov as the rabbi of Krakow after the war. Because he was highly influential in Krakow after the war, and he knew Rabbi Levertov from before the war, he saw to it that Rabbi Levertov was appointed as Rabbi.
