   I remember horav gertzulin zatzal very well from my years in mesivta torah vodaath. he used to sit in the big bais medrash next to horav eliyahu chazan ztl. he used to give the shiur in mesechta chulin. even so when i was in rav chazans shiur i used to ask him questions on the mesechta that the yeshiva was learning and he always answered me bisever ponom yofos . other bochurim did the same. i know that in addition to being a rebbe and mashgiach in torah vodaath for many years he had a very organized summer yeshiva in fallsburg,ny and he went to great lengths to have it organized in the best way including special booklets on moadim and other inyonim. he was also a great midakdek bimitzvos. he had a special relationship with my grandfather harav rivkin zatzal who knew his father rav mordecai ztl from russia(my grandfather happened to be rav gertzulin zatzal”s sandik at his bris). IN his later years rav gertzulin became ill but was mikabel yisurim biahava as a true talmid chochom and ovaid hashem. yehi zichro boruch
