Rabbi Ravid was the Principal of Eitz Chaim Schools in Toronto from 1926 to 1935.

Rabbi Ravid was my grandfather. He passed away 3 years before my birth but I was very close to my grandmother, Sarah Ravid, spending my summers with her in Toronto.

Rav Pinchas Eliezer Ravid was my great uncle. His sister, Chana Mindel was my maternal grandfather’s mother. His daughter, Chava Nicha (Eva) married my grandfather’s brother Ephraim Tzvi (Frank) Silverberg, her first cousin. Rav Ravid’s wife, Sarah lived until the age of 98 and I remember seeing her at Uncle Frank and Auntie Eva’s apartment. I believe she lived with them at the end. My sister is named for her. I also remember his daughter, Mary Wittenberg.
