Just a note about the United Hebrew Brotherhood Cemetery that I found online. The Gemelus Chesed Cemetery and B’nai Emet Cemetery are separate facilities located next to the Minneapolis Jewish Cemetery, at 70 1/2 Street West and Penn Avenue South. For information about Gemelus Chesed Cemetery, call cemetery manager Beryl Richman at (952) 544-8752, or Sharei Chesed synagogue at (952) 929-2595. For information about B’nai Emet Cemetery, call the synagogue at (952) 927-7309.
Rav Yitzchok Blazer (Peterburger) had a son-in-law living in Minneapolis, I think his name was Goldberg, do you know where he is buried?
Some corrections to Rabbi Stern Jan 13, 2010.
The contact for Gemelus Chesed Cemetery in Richfield, MN is Michael J. Morris, Superintendent 612-998-0077 (not Beryl Richman).
He past away long after the 1940’s he still printed his Sefer Minchas Shlome http://hebrewbooks.org/pdfpager.aspx?req=1935&st=&pgnum=1&hilite= in 1963.
Before he came to Minneapolis, Minnesota he was Rav in Indianapolis, Indiana

Looks like you were right.
Rabbi Levine was a Litvak who was the Rabbi of Shaarei Tzedek Synagogue. He was Orthodox and he was the cheif Rabbi of Minneapolis. The beautiful synagogue was on Morgan or Newton Avenue. Lots of steps , but smaller than Mikro Kodesh on Oliver Avenue. When the neighborhood shifted, Shaarei Tzedek joined with another shul, I think it was Gemelus Chesed.
Rabbi Levine had a brother Rabbi YM Levine who authored a few seforim and served as Rabbi in Cincinati, see here:

Please correct . His name LEVIN not levine.
Also the tzaddik hagaon zatzal was rav in indiana in 1910 as well.
Where was he raised? Where did he learn?
Regarding the question of R’ Yitzhak Blazers son-in-law (who was my grandfather) … his name was R’ Avroham Goldberg … he married my grandmother Miriam Blaser in Jerusalem and their daughter Shoshana Meyers (Goldberg) was my mother. R’ Avroham is buried at the Minneapolis Jewish Cemetary on Penn Ave.
