R. Shlomo Salman KAPLAN haCohen (1882-1959) is a distant cousin of mine. It was a great surprise to see that his gravestone includes reference to our shared ancestor, the Beit Meir, R. I wonder if this is the same as Zalman Shlomo Kaplan, son of Nachum Magid, who was my grandmother’s Uncle? Nachum was a brother to Abaham Bloomberg and Minnie Grossbard (I know their names were different. That’s the way it was then!) My grandparents were first cousins, and MInnie Grossbard Becker was my grandfather’s mother, as sister to Abraham Bloomberg.
