There is a famous story about a Rav out in the boondocks that so impressed him that many years later when his grandson was sick (Meir) his father (Rev Shneur) sent a delegation to daven at his kever.
if I am not mistaken this is the rov that reb aharon z”l was impressed with. In fact he said that there was noone as great as him in america. And even in europe only ‘yechidim’ came close. Reb aharon stayed at his for a shabbos, before shabbos he warned reb aharon that he doesn’t talk anything but tora on shabbos & through the duration of shabbos he went through yerushalmi’s
He was my Paternal Great Grandfather. My father was very close with him, and he impacted his life greatly. My dad’s mother was Cecilia Katz, married to Simon Hurwitz. My father was Isadore Hurwitz.
