He was son of the Celldomolk Rav R’ Avraham Grunberger (1880-1941).
R’ Simcha Bunim was Talmid of R’ Yoel Fellner in Ujhely, R’ Shmul Gottlieb in Papa, and R’ Akiva Sofer in Pressburg. Before 1944, he lived in Sarvar, Hungary, and 1946-1949 was Dayan and rosh beth din of Pressburg, Slovakia.
His brother Yisroel Moshe lived in Vagsellye. A sister married Dov Schlesinger of Szarvas.
His father R’ Avraham Grunberger born in Opalyi, Hungary, and was Talmid of R’ Menachem Mendel Stern in Foldes, and of the Shevet Sofer in Pressburg.
He was not Rav but Dayan of Celldomolk.
