BBZ,
I dont know if you are rightm but it is mentioned in that writing that he was a descendant of eight generations of Rabbonim.
BBZ,
He was the son of Rav Yitzchak Kellman.
Tzvi Yehuda was in fact the son of Yitchok Kelman as BBZ said. And yes he was in fact an 8th generation Rav, and his grandson today is generation #10
Michael and Ari, it sounds that you are related to the two Rabbis Kelman mentioned here, I find a Rabbi Yehuda Kelman in Tarnigrad, Poland in 1880, would that be Rabbi Moshe Kelman’s (Yitzchak’s father) father?
Hi Moshe Kelman was the father of Harav Yitzchok Kelman, who was the father of Harav Tzi Yehuda Kelman zatzal. . Reb Zvi Yehuda had smicha from Reb Meir Arik z”l Reb Zvi Yehuda had three sons all rabbis, the eldest (and still living) is in New York. His great grandsons are the 11th generation rabbonim.

According to “The Many Rooms of this House…” by Roberto Perin, Tzvi Yehuda Kelman came to Toronto in 1928, and had a long association with B’nai Israel Husyatiner Kloiz.
His son-in-law was Rabbi Meilech Silber, Rosh Yeshiva, Yeshiva of Eastern Parkway.
His son in New York was Rabbi Abraham Kelman (1921-2017), founder and dean of Prospect Park Yeshiva and rabbi of a shul within the school. I knew him as a kind, soft-spoken and thoughtful man. Rabbi Leib Kelman shlit”a (mentioned by m.kennedy), a son of Rabbi Abraham, is rabbi of Ohel Yitzchok, also in Brooklyn.
If anyone would like some of the archival materials that I have collected (mostly newspaper clippings) about his family (especially his son Rabbi Abraham zt”l), please contact me via email (kranczery@gmail.com), Geni, Facebook, etc.
