Biographical Notes:
Prior to his arrival in Montreal, the Rav served in Pupa, Hungary, and Melbourne, Australia. He was referred to by many as the Pupa Rav of Montreal. Sadly he died without children.
« Previous: Rabbi Tzvi Yehuda KelmanNext: Rabbi Yitzchok Meir Meyerowitch »
He was also Rav in Melborne Australia before he went to Montreal, In Montreal although he was always called as the kleiner Pupa Ruv he was actually the Rav of the Belzer Chasidim in Canada. He was an extremely clever person and loved by everyone who came in contact with him.
“kleiner” was a nickname used only by few, due to his being about 3-4 ft high.
He is buried next to the ohel of his Rebbe, the V’Ychi Yosef of Pupa
Where’s ‘Page 2’?
