The Rav’s (who was known as a gain, tzadik, godol bizmano, beloved and highly respected)bio info is in his Sefer, Darchei Shalom. Here’s a bit: He was orphaned at early age, raised by his brother, Gav’d of Zavluv. At 26, became rov of Doniav, in WW1, he suffered greatly, inuy haguf & inuy hanefesh, soviets took him and the parnes, sent them to galus, his kehillah fled to America, sent for him to come lead them in NY, finally he agreed in 1920. Almost all his ksovim were burnt, Darchei Shalom was written in america. He sent it back to his son Rav Moshe, who published it in Vienna, 1933. The Rav was extremely happy to learn just before he was niftar, of the publication, sadly, his son, HaRav hagodlo, R Yehoshua Heshl Leiter(of the Bronx) was
nifter just weeks earlier, which was hard for him to be sovel. He had been planning a trip to E Yisroel.
