In 1898 he together with Aaron Lamsky went on to purchase the First Geman Methodist Church which they converted to the new Ahavas Chesed in shul Williamsburg on Lorimer and Stagg. Rabbi Newmark served as Rabbi
in 1907 he is sill listed as the Rabbi there while living on 176 Penn St.
