    Even more interesting, He was Rov in Uzda. R’ Moishe Feinstein (or hi father, or both?) was also Rov there!

    Boker tov! I recently found out that my mother was married in 1942 and that Rabbi Isaac Levine married them…Florence Molin(e) to Jacob Telkowsky in Massachusetts. Can you tell me the name of the Shul where he was Rabbi? Does it still exist today? Todah raba! Maxine Kaplan

    Maxine,
    It says on the tombstone that Rabbi Levin was the rabbi of the Beis Midrash HaGadol. This was also known as the Crawford Street Shul.

    It seems that the shul is no longer functioning.

    My grandfather Rabbi Moshe Silman of MN was also born in Uzda. My grandfather has smicha from Rabbi Levin, which was later signed by Reb Moshe Feinstein.
