I would guess that Rav Meir Belsky (formerly of Memphis) is related.

This is Meir Belsky from Memphis grandfather
Zalman tzvi father changed his name to Belsky which was his mother maiden name. that was R’ Yisroel Belsky side. They lived in the same town in Russia.
while the family has a theory about the two Belsky families being related based on the name change, they do not seem to have proof that zalman tzvi’s mother’s maiden name was belsky, or that she was related to the other belsky family. Does someone know anything more about this?

Is it possible that the “changed” Belsky name came from Eliyahu Tzvi Oremland (b. 1821, Kobryn)? Eliyahu Tzvi had 8 children, five of which are accounted for.
The children assumed different last names to avoid conscription in the army: Fremland, Rimland, Grossman, and — supposedly — Belsky.
Any possibility here?

His great-grandson, menahel of Yeshiva Rabbi Chaim Berlin’s elementary school, is named Rabbi Zalman Zvi Belsky, though he is known only by his second name.

Any relation to Rabbi Yisroel Belsky?
Rav Yisroel Belsky is a Levi, I don’t think so.
