Bio Information:
The Rebbe’s father was Rav Mordechai Shapiro, the Birtscher Rav named after his great-grandfather, the Lanzuter Rav who authored the Yodei Binah.
The Rebbe was a direct descendant of Rebbe Tzvi Elimelech Shapiro of Dinov, the Bnei Yissachar.
Although in Europe he was the Kiviashder Rav, many in the United State referred to him as the Kiviashder Rebbe.
