Biographical Notes:
« Previous: Rebbe Ben Tzion FrankelNext: Rabbi Chananya Yom Tov Lipa Teitelbaum »
He was not a rebbe, he did not call himself a rebbe, nor did he think of being one.
Cheskel:
Instead of telling me what he wasn’t please tell me what he was.
Thank you,
Its not easy to describe his personality.
why call him rebbe, if he wasn’t one?
mib:
Still trying to sort out who he was, any idea?
Where is the Rabbi Rottenberg from Forshay, Monsey buried?
His father and uncle were defiantly Admorim, I don?t know if that makes him a Rebbe by default.
Hit says on his Kever Admor the son of an Admor. Why wouldn’t he be a Rebbe. Also is this in Wellwood Cemetery, New Montefiore Cemetery, or Beth Moses cemetery?
I’m sorry. I got the answer to which cemetery he’s buried in.
Admor the son of the Av Beis Din.

This is my father’s kever. To the right of him is the kever of R’ Sholom of Nadvorna, then my Zeide R’ Yitzchok , the Melitzer Rebbe, next is the kever of R’ Chaim Shlome Rottenberg from Forshay who is next to his shver The Shotzer Rebbe.
To Reb Elya
This is in Wellwood Cemetery on Macabbee Street. It is located off North Street I believe, on the same side as the Tzeilimer chelka, but further down the road.
