    They are definitely related, the name Uri is a Stretener name.

    I just don’t know who his father was.

    The other Uri Langer, a prolific writer, wrote many, many seforim. Although his “business name” escapes me he is buried in Beth David, Elmont.

    Uri Langner who is a writer is the cousin of the father of this Uri langner

    And the ר’ יהודה צבי מסטרעטין written above was the son of ר’ אורי לאנגנר מרוהטין which was the son-in-law and ממלא מקום of the great tzadik ר’ אברהם ברנדוויין מסטרעטין.
    Two other son in laws of Rabbi Avraham Of Stretin changed their name to “Brandwein”:
    1) Rabbi Pinchus
    2) Rabbi Aaron of Feltchin
