    Besides an Historian he was a Rav and prolifif writer on diffrent topics and Magid Mieshorim (preacher) in Brwonsville, Brooklyn.

    Any known descendants?

    He had 4 children, 8 grandchildren. I am one of his grandchildren (via his son Yosef). His entire works are being republished by the American Jewish Legacy (http://www.ajlegacy.org/projects-4). The republication was in the page proof stage as of 3 months ago.
