WOW, sounds like a pretty amazing person!!!!!!!
Did you call anyone in MTJ?
He may have been related to Rav Moshe Feinstein.
Very interesting, 2 partnership contracts signed by Rav Feinstein with other Rabbonim, one is to make a Volozhiner Yeshiva in NY, and the second is to open together a Beis Din Shtibel.

Inscription on Isidores’ marker reads:

With the passing of Harav Feinstein, New York lost one of the top Rabbaim of the previous generation, who conducted himself, here in America in the same fashion as in the Alter Heim (Europe).
He was a major masmid (diligent) – “his mouth never ceased to utter words of torah” up until to the very last minutes of his life.
He was a Torah Giant, proficient in Shas and Poskim with fullest detail.
25 years he served as Rav and Dayan in Zaretzi, Vilna. 17 years ago, he immigrated to America accepting a position join Harlem.

… Harav Feinstein was known as R’ Michele Masmid.
17 years ago, he came to America and settled in Harlem where he conducted as Rabbi, answering Shailos and continuing with his diligence.
Yodei Chein said of him, that aside from the revealed part of the Torah, he was well versed in Nistar (Hidden part of the Torah), was very humble and extremely well mannered.
11 years ago, while being present in the shul, Kol Yisroel Anshei Polen, his steady place for davening and learning— half of his body was suddenly stricken with paralysis… however this situation did not deter him from his diligent learning of Nigleh and nistar.
The funural procession will be held on Wednesday.
Time and place will be announced tomorrow.
