Hello Baruch –
Today was a beautiful day in Chicagoland (for a change) so I drove out to Waldheim to see about Rabbi Poppers.
Jewish Waldheim is made up of almost 300 gates for different towns or burial societies. There are two managers: Waldheim Cemetery Co. manages most of the cemetery but several gates are managed by Silverman and Weiss. Neither manager had anything on either Rabbi Poppers or his wife.
They suggested I try Forest Home Cemetery (Waldheim in German) up the street. They have a small Jewish section. They have no record of Rabbi Poppers or his wife either.
Sorry, but I think we’ve hit a dead end.
His son is at Waldheim. I photographed the son’s grave for you and you said you would post it and hope that a relative would come forward.
Sorry.
