Rabbi Radin was my mother’s maternal grandfather, one of my sons is partially named after him. My understanding is that he was an important founder of Torah life in his city in New Jersey (that I suppose is Newark). My mother once showed me a newspaper clipping of his lavia — those gathering to pay their respects seemed to fill a city block!
