In a kind of weird coincidence, he was succeeded by a Rabbi Moshe Yissochar Goldberg (who is buried in EY).
Chevra Thilm was my family’s synagogue – I wonder if Rabbi Goldberg was mohel for my father. What year did Rabbi Groner become Rabbi at Chevra Thilm?
My father was rabbi moshe yissochar goldberg. To make the coincidence even weirder, Rabbi msohe chaim died in 1940 and rabbi moshe yisschor came to new orleans in 1940. but was not at chevre thilim but at anshei sfard. served at cong. Anshei sfard.
Bernie, Rabbi moshe was also a mohel who seved all of the congregations , so maybe…
I believe that rabbi groner got to new orleans in the 1970s
Joe, can I ask who you are ssince you seem to have a lot of info on my father
