Directions to Kever: Acacia, Bayside and Mokom Sholom are three independent cemeteries and while Acacia and Mokom Sholom are under the same management umbrella, Bayside is independently owned and operated. The cemeteries run along Pitkin and Liberty Avenues from 80th Street to 84th Street. Access to Mokom Sholom is from Pitkin Avenue. It should be noted that the surrounding neighborhood is past it's prime, use caution when visiting!!! in the event of an emergency call 911. His grandson is named Shlomo but not after him
Going thru the many ads in Der Morgin Journal, one will see.
He was the Rav of the Machzikei Talmud Torah (The first boys yeshiva in Boro Park).
He was a member of the:
— Agudas HaRabanim,
— Vaad HaRabanim of New York,
— Vaad HaRabanim of Boro Park (who all announced his levaya).
He was involved with kashrus.
— He was the Rosh Mashgiach of the Vaad HaKashrus of Boro Park (article when he was niftar).
— There’s an ad for Pesach cake under his hashgacha in March 1931.
— He signed on takanos made after an issue between the union and the shochtim in June 1927.
— He was the Rav of the Brooklyn Kosher Butchers Association (who announced his levaya)
—He was a member of the Zasler Protective Foods as well (no clue what that is; they annouced his levaya as well).
Many NY marriage certificates were done at his home.
He sold Israeli Esrogim and Arizona Lulavim from his home.
