Bio Note:
The Rav Kramer married the daughter of great philanthropist Reb Shraga Frank of Kovno, Lithuania. Reb Shraga had four famous son-in-lawas, the other three were Rav Moshe Mordechai Epstein of Slobodka and later Chevron, Rav Isser Zalman Meltzer of Slutsk, Rav Baruch Hurwitz of Alexot, Lithuania and later Rosh Yeshivah in Slobodka. The Rav’s daughter married Rav Yaakov Yitzchok Halevi Ruderman, Rosh Yeshiva of Ner Yisroel, Baltimore.

He was the youngest son-in-law of Reb Shrag Feivel Frank, and brother-in-law of Reb Moshe Mordechai Epstein and Reb Isser Zalman Meltzer. His son-in-law was Rav Ruderman.
My father, A”H, learned in Reb Sheftel’s yeshiva when it was in Cleveland in the early ’30’s.

His other son-in-law was Rav Naftoli Neuberger, who passe away not long ago.
He was the 3rd s-i-l of Reb Shrag Feivel Frank. I forget the name of the 4th. He had 5 daughters. R. Neuberger’s wife was the youngest.
His last living Talmid, R”Schacne Zohn was just niftar last week

My great-grandfather. One of 4 sons-in-law of R’ Shraga Feivel Frank; the other three were the two stated above, as well as Rav Boruch Horowitz (Gurevitch) known as Rav Baruch Aleksoter, for the suburb of Slobodka of which he was the Rav. Rav Sheftel’s sons-in-law were Rav Ruderman, Rav Mordechai Shuchatowitz, Rav Zalman N. Skaist, Rav Naftali Nueberger, Rav Dov Heiman, and Rav Shmuel Lewin. Rav Sheftel was not one of the Yad Hachazaka. He was sent to Slutsk to be the Menahel Ruchani after the Yeshiva was established. My grandmother was born in the Yeshiva, in the Kramer apartment overlooking the Beis Medrash, on Simchas Torah, during the Hakafos.
