    This is very interesting.

    I didn’t know of R Shlomo until this page.

    He must have been a brother of my father’s maternal grandmother Rav Meir Zimmerman (who moved to London, and passed away in 1936).

    There was another brother, Rav Yaakov Moshe Zimmerman, who was the father of the gaon Rav Chaim Zimmerman – famed author of a treatise on the halachic status of the international dateline, and many other works of note, and also Rosh Yeshiva in Skokie, Illinois.
